Hi,
It has been almost two weeks since i lost to Simon Santoso during the Second Round of the Hong Kong Open.
The game was one the worst that i've played in years. My concentration level was messed up and it ruined my game, and Simon took advantage of that, as would a normal player would do. He did a good job that day.
There were things that was said before and during the match by certain people, which got to me, messed up with my head and ruined the match. I was usually immuned by those things, but somehow, during the game it just got to me.
Terkadang kita harus arif dan bijaksana untuk mengerti posisi serta komentar yang dikeluarkan pada saat sedang menjadi penonton. Apakah kita berada disana sebagai penonton dan individu pribadi, ataukah posisi kita tersebut sebagai perwakilan negara.
Seluruh pemain Indonesia adalah sama, mau itu pemain bulutangkis profesional seperti saya, Candra, Alvent ataupun masih menjadi pemain Pelatnas; kesemuanya tentunya masih berada dalam perlindungan organisasi resmi dan tertinggi bulutangkis Indonesia, PBSI.
Hal tersebutlah yang seharusnya dikembangkan dan ditekankan oleh organisasi berkewenangan tersebut. Pada saat pemain Indonesia bermain melawan pemain Indonesia lainnya, dukungan kepada keduanya yang harus diperlihatkan, tidak perduli apakah satu pemain berlatih di Cipayung, sedangkan pemain lainnya berlatih di Banthong. We have to be united as a nation.
Anyway... i would like to thank the Hong Kong Spectators for their support and welcome; especially would like to thank the girl who gave me a "Jenny's cookies" original after the first round match. Thanks for that, me and the Indonesian players ate them all while hanging around at the Hotel.
The reaction for THL 2 was tremendous, i was informed just today by my team, that sales has been great, the bags and caps has sold out, followed up by great sportswear sales. The appreciation has humbled me, and please do urge your local badminton stores to distribute THL in your areas, as of now we are still planning to make it available at Yonex tournaments and events.
I am training non-stop now after Hong Kong. I'll see you when i see you!
